Things that I can recommend to you
They might not be perfect but they fit my usage and needs 10/10. My only rule is: "If this thing broke or got lost - would I buy exactly the same thing without any research or look for something better?"
This article is always WIP and updated as I add new products and services.
Flip flops - Crocs Flips
Lightweight and durable, yet cheap and comfortable. Solid 10/10.
Water bottle - Under Armor Draft (700ml)
My last UA bottle lasted around 6 years (until I dropped it and a piece broke), this one seems a perfect replacement so far — solid, has an optional hook, has a lock, and is easy to clean. Note: the lock sound could be better (I preferred a metal lock over plastic) and the hook could be a bit sturdier. But I don't expect to find a better one easily.
Microphone (desk) - Elgato Wave:3
Paired with a low profile boom arm. Works like charm.
Webcam - Logitech BRIO 4K
Amazing value for a money (used are ~90 USD).
Monitor - Asus ProArt 27" 5K and 32" 6K
HiDPI/Retina-compatible — amazing for text work on macOS (due to the lack of sub-pixel antialiasing in macOS). You can daisy-chain them, use their USB ports, and charge the laptop up to 96W, all via a single cable.
Charger - Anker 100W or UGreen 100W
I also have a awesome Baseus 65W with full power plug mounted on the side of my desk for charging all smaller accessories.
Keyboard - Apple Magic Keyboard with TouchID
I very much prefer Apple's short key-travel keyboard despite having used mechanical keyboards for years. I still use a different one for PC gaming.
Mouse - Logitech G502 X Plus
Wireless with Powerplay so I never have to charge it, and I like its texture.
LED Light strip - Auxmer 240 LEDs/m with CRI>95
A great LED light for a whole room — high CRI is the key. I have the 2000–6500K version, though 2400–6500K would probably be a better/sufficient range. I've directly compared it with multiple Philips Hue lights and Auxmer is much, much better as a main light source (again — better CRI). If you need RGB FCOB - I used this one but this is mood light and not main light source. For LED driver I would use SP530E.
Battery charger - LiitoKala Lii-CH4
High power with USB-C input. All I need.
Headlamp - some no-name one
Works perfectly.
Smartwatch - Suunto (Race S)
Probably any modern Suunto model is fine. I much prefer their app over anything else. Good battery, all the features I need (and more) — great for logging hikes and bike trips, and solid for sleep monitoring. One downside is slightly sub-par heart rate monitoring in tough conditions (e.g. sweat/dirt), so I sometimes use a chest strap for that. The second downside is the lack of a general "gym workout" activity type, and I don't have the patience to select a specific exercise every time.
Network - Ubiquiti stack
Pick and choose based on your needs. No "gaming" fuss, no issues, no subscriptions.
Desk - anything with 4 legs
I'm super happy with Flexispot E7Q, but for many people it'll be overkill. Really, any model with 4 legs will be great (no wobble). Also — most of these companies run big discounts a few times a year. Pair it with 35-40mm wood (or laminated MDF).
Printer and scanner - Brother MFC-L2802DW
I don't use a printer much, but I need it to work reliably for those few documents a year.
USB KVM - UGREEN (4 ports, USB 3.0)
For sharing things like a mouse or microphone between a MacBook and a PC. Works perfectly.
Speakers - Adam Audio D3V
Amazing sound with USB-C connection.
TODO:
USB-C Cables
Still looking for the perfect one (>100W, USB 3.x transfers, and not chonky).
ANC Headphones
I use Sony WH-1000XM6, but they're not easy to fold and not that much better than my old Bose QC35.
